Pasture Raised Pork

Information about our pigs

Our pigs are humanely raised which means they live as natural a life as we can provide. They stayed with mom until about 5 weeks old. Once they were big enough to be kept outside, we placed them in a pasture where they could run, create wallows, root in the dirt and play. We made sure they always had clean water and proper food. We also checked on them daily for any signs of disease or injuries. As they got older we added enrichment activities including toys to play with and hiding treats throughout their pasture to keep them engaged and happy.

Pork pricing & Information

  • 1/2 pig - $285, plus processing

  • Whole pig - $590, plus processing

  • January batch is scheduled for processing at Scholls Slaughterhouse in Blissfield

  • Customer pays processing fees, estimated cost is $200.00 for a whole pig

  • Average hanging weight is 150-210 lbs for a whole pig

  • Average lbs of pork after processing is 90-125 for a whole pig

  • Average cost of a whole pig after processing is $800

  • Average cost per pound after processing is $6.00-$7.00/lb

  • $100 deposit is required after your spot is confirmed and final payment (not including processing fee) is due by 1/9/22
